Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House

Joe Elmore travels to a Lynchburg landmark where boarding house dining is a huge attraction.

More Information

Before the advent of hotel and motel chains, boarding houses were popular stops for travelers who needed a warm bed and a square meal. Today, it's hard to imagine people from all over the world planning vacation stops at a TN boarding house. But that's the way it is at Miss Mary Bobo's in Lynchburg. While you can't spend the night, you can get the best boarding house meal imaginable.
